Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A Please follow this link and read: https://myvega.com/blogs/content/vega-heavy-metals-testingThe gist is that yes there are trace amounts of heavy metals in the powder but that is because the plants used to make this powder came out of the ground...which contains heavy metals. The amount you consume from this powder is no more than what you would consume than eating raw fruits or vegetables. They are adhering to California’s stringent safe harbor levels for daily exposure for lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury
  2. A Hi R. Aaron, Vega Sport® Protein, and the ingredients present in all Vega® products are sourced primarily from North America and Europe. We choose to source some ingredients from their native climate; for example, we get our maca from Peru, and we get our chlorella from Japan. Vega® manufacturing and packaging facilities are in the United States and Canada. In health,Kim McDevitt MPH RD | Vega Senior Education Specialist
  3. A Hi there,Thank you for reaching out.Yes, this protein powder does contain Stevia, if you are looking for stevia free products we have the Vega one and Vega Protein & Greens “Plain unsweetened” with no added stevia or any other sweeteners of any kind.If you have any further questions, feel free to shoot us some more details to [email protected] and we'd be happy to chat further. Thanks, The Vega Team.
  4. A Hmm, I've heard Vanilla is really good. I haven't tried it yet but I'd imagine it's less sweet than berry. Have you thought of the mocha flavor? It's super delicious and definitely not very sweet, just creamy!
  5. A We do not use dairy as an ingredient in our nutritional shake formulations, and in fact all of our products are certified vegan through Vegan Action. However not all our products are produced in an exclusive dairy free facility.Safety is paramount to us at Vega, therefore all our facilities are 3rd party audited and follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Procedure) practices to ensure all allergen ingredients are stored away from non-allergen ingredients, and strict sanitation procedures are followed, to ensure risk for cross contamination is minimized.
  6. A I have purchased this several times. I understand asking if the review was authentic. Yes it is. I like the chocolate and vanilla both.
  7. A As far as which one tastes better I don't know, I have only used the Vega Sport. As far as the differences I believe it has more protein as well as a much higher amount of Amino Acids.
  8. A I received a refund. When you hit the manufacturer in the pocketbook, they take notice of an inferior product more quickly;-)
  9. A Why? Do you plan to eat it? Bottom line, I don't know. The amount of animal ingredients used in some plastics is trifling when compared with true animal commodities, such as leather, wool, or down, which directly fuel the continual slaughter of animals. After a while, it becomes exhausting and nonsensical to dissect the microscopic elements of our lives and rifle through every last belonging in search of the elusive animal ingredient.
  10. A Hi Ulfberht , Vega Sport® Premium Vanilla offers you 2.5g Arginine and 2.1g of Lysine per serving. The typical Amino Acid profile is listed on pack, as well as under our "common questions" on our website. Thank you, Takumi KawakatsuVega Education Specialist
  11. A We are not familiar with the company you are referring to, but at Vega the trust and safety of our consumers is our top priority. Plants absorb naturally occurring minerals from the soil which can be reflected in the final product. We have robust Quality Assurance programs in place that methodically test our products for safety and quality and ensure our products are compliant with our own rigorous internal standards, as well as all government regulations. We are proud that Vega products are made with only real, whole food plant-based ingredients condensed into one nutrient-dense scoop. No artificial or synthetic ingredients are used in our products.
  12. A Hi Lynda, Our Vega Sport® Protein in Vanilla flavor, offers you 150cal per serving. Vega Sport® Protein in Chocolate offers you 160cal per serving. You can find this and more nutritional information by navigating through the photos available in the product information. There you'll find an image of the Nutrition Facts. Thank you, Takumi KawakatsuConsumer Educator
  13. A Unfortunately, I'm not 100% sure. However, from my experience, this protein has never tasted like it has expired. Google says, "smell is often the easiest way to tell if something is expired, especially products that include soy, eggs, or milk. If there is no moisture and the powder doesn't smell bad, but you're still unsure if the protein powder is safe, you may want to put a tiny bit on your finger and taste it". Also, "protein powder is designed to last, with many brands staying fresh for up to two years".
  14. A Hi Smitty,There is no difference in formulation between the large and extra large tubs of Vega Sport Protein- just the labeling is slightly different. Turmeric is found in both sized tubs.In Health,Shannon OwVega Consumer Educator
  15. A The XL is 45 servings and the regular is 19 servings? Currently: the XL costs $88.15 for 1890g which ends up being 4.66 cents/gram while the regular costs $37.90 for 801g which ends up being 4.73 cents/g so the XL is the better buy if you're okay with the larger size.
  16. A Open the plastic top, then use a knife or something sharp to pierce the protective sealed paper. Then you can peel it off.
  17. A 20 Servings per 1.83 lbs. The math adds up, hope that clears things up for you.
  18. A Hi Natalia, There is no outer seal or shrink wrap used on our containers of Vega Sport® Protein. Thank you, Takumi Kawakatsu Consumer Educator
  19. A Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. If you'd like Vega Sport Premium Protein to dissolve in your coffee we'd recommend mixing it up in a blender for smoothest results. The powder is not designed as a coffee creamer. We hope this helps! In Health,The Vega Team
  20. A It says on the label thats it’s manufactured in the same place that dairy and nuts are produced.
