Description

Size:5 Pound (Pack of 1)

Our jersey cows graze freely on lush, green pastures year round. These small-farm cows are not only healthier but we believe happier too! Their diet consists of a variety of wild grasses and clover – producing milk rich in omega-3s and CLAs. The result is a deliciously creamy organic whey protein that has the highest protein concentration among organic grass-fed whey powders. Raw Organic Whey is minimally processed at low temperatures and is higher in antioxidants and other nutrients than conventional whey powders. Superior quality begins with what the cows eat and how they live, which is why our whey comes from jersey cows that are grass-fed on small family farms in the US. We ensure that these cows are raised without hormones, antibiotics, or genetically modified feed (Non-GMO). Raw Organic Whey tastes so amazing by itself, we don’t add any sweeteners, flavors or fillers – just 100% organic grass fed whey protein!

Questions and answers of the customers

  1. A Raw Grass Fed Whey is whey protein concentrate, which is minimally processed and undenatured making it easily digestible. Whey protein isolates are acid treated and overly processed which prevents your body from digesting them as they should.
  2. A Raw Organic Whey is USDA certified Organic. Naked whey is NOT organic
  3. A Raw Organic Whey is cold processed. Most whey is heat processed which makes it acidic and nutritionally deficient. The high heat damages the amino acids and nutrients that give whey its immune supporting qualities. Cold processed whey prevents this and helps to protect the nutrients and keep them in their natural state.Raw Organic Whey is:-Only 1 Ingredient: 100% Pure organic whey from the milk of grass-fed cows-No added sweeteners, preservatives or fillers-Soy Free (no soy lecithin)-Sourced 100% from small US farms-rBGH/rBST hormone free-Processed at low temperatures WITHOUT acid treatment or bleach treatment
  4. A To the seller: Your description says there’s is no BGH/BST in the non-organic also. So, my question is, is the description inaccurate? “Raw Grass Fed Whey: • ONLY 1 INGREDIENT: 100% Pure Grass Fed whey • NON-GMO, A2 Milk, Soy Free, rBGH/rBST Hormone Free, Gluten Free, Grass Fed • Contains no artificial sweeteners or flavors • Processed WITHOUT acid or bleach • Sourced from Grass Fed Free Range Cows • Sourced 100% from US Sustainable Small Farms • Heavy Metal F”
  5. A Thank you for your question! Glutathione is comprised of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid, and glycine. You can view the levels of these on this amino acid profile. 6. A Raw Organic Whey does not contain any casein and only trace amounts of lactose.
  7. A Jersey cows do not exclusively produce A2 milk. Unless each cow you receive milk from is specifically tested, this cannot be verified.
  8. A It is CERTIFIED ORGANIC therefore it is not allowed to contain GMOs. Don't let anyone tell you differently! I noticed someone tried to claim that only a certain (other) brand of whey protein is allowed to state that but that TOTALLY UNTRUE.
  9. A Hi Lenore,Thank you for your question! Midwest Laboratories performs our 3rd party laboratory testing for heavy metals
  10. A I have not contacted the supplier about the USDA certificate. The package displayed the USDA stamp on it.
  11. A I would suggest that you contact the company direct for the information since they produce the product.
  12. A Hi S. Pena, thank you for your question! Yes, Raw Organic Whey is free from heavy metals.
  13. A Thanks for your question! Yes, they do!Sincerely,Raw Organic WheyHappy Healthy Cows
  14. A The "organic" is better because of closer monitoring--less likely some of the grass is coated with automobile exhaust or the cows are given any antibiotic or hormone. Also--the "organic" has a small 12 oz option even though all Amazon listings are titled for 5 pounders. And as of 2021.03 in either size the "organic" price is reasonable. And with this brand both "organic" and "grass fed" versions are labeled "100% grass-fed"--so Mr. Wilson's answer--that "grass fed" varieties might have some advantage--is thoughtful but does not apply in this case. But most important is the "cold processing" used in both varieties. It took me years to pony up for the smaller and more expensive "organic" whey sold by Now Foods--but I finally decided to try it--and immediately noticed less "heaviness in stomach" i.e. greater "digestibility"--due to "lower temperature processing." Can't wait to try this new brand which goes two steps further--organic + cold processed + grass fed. I might be disappointed and in any case each individual should decide for themselves. P.S. do not fall for the gimmicks of some brands like "extra high glutathione content" or etc. They are invariably less digestible or succulent. And any supposed advantage is insignificant compared to getting capsules for "reduced glutathione" or whatever desired component. Digestibility is key. Also the more digestible the less you need and so that again adds digestibility. One level teaspoon at a time can be added to various foods and beverages without being noticed. Whether on a muscle-gain or a weight-loss diet, whether athlete, elderly or cancer patient--a lack of one essential amino acid can derail your health--whey makes sure you have the basics of all. And all those vegan proteins--yuk! My neighbor got pancreatic cancer by relying on those high-stress indigestible sources. Whey is universally recognized by holistic practitioners, athletes, GP's and oncologists as potentially life-saving. The aging process--and many disease processses--are partly a vicious cycle of slow starvation. The weaker you get--the less efficiently you digest--and the weaker you get. Protein is like money--it does not make you healthy or happy exactly--but can be difficult to get or to digest--and if you don't get it easily--you have to expend a huge amount of energy that you or your glandular system could have spent making you healthy or happy. The only other protein supplement that I would heartily suggest is--go to any Chinese restaurant and take home a quart of fresh Egg Drop Soup--and take it regularly--well warmed up, as much as feels good, whether the tablespoon or the cup.
  15. A The only difference is that Raw Organic Whey is certified usda organic.
  16. A I couldn't find a way to attach a picture of the nutrition facts, so I typed it. I hope this helps. 17. A Hi Gabriel,Thank you for your question! The volume you will need for 5 lb of whey is approximately 30 cups, or a 2 gallon size container.Sincerely,Raw Organic wheyHappy Healthy Cows
  18. A Hi Gina,Yes, Raw Grass Fed Whey is free of hormones and antibiotics!
  19. A That is because "Raw Organic Whey(tm) is the name of the PRODUCT, not the company or vendor!!!!! Not to mention the fact that the organic logo is for the USDA, not the UDAF!!! When you look it up on the USDA Organic Integrity Database, using the Advanced Search form, you will find it. The company is in Utah, the Certified ID is 5090311166.
  20. A Thank you for your question! We recommend using a tablespoon to measure the serving size you would like (5 Tbsp for 1 serving). With our packaging, we attempt to minimize waste as much as we can. This is why we choose to use our pouch bags instead of plastic tubs as well as why we do not include a plastic scoop. Sincerely,Raw Organic Whey
  21. A Just because it is certified organic does not mean the amino acid profile will be different than the non-organic. They probably use the same milk for both, only that the organic one is more expensive because they had to pay for the certification. There is nothing in the non-organic whey's description that would have to change in order to qualify as organic. It's just a matter of marketing: some people won't buy whey unless it's certified organic so they get the same product, certify it, and sell it for more to cover the cost of certification etc. Both products qualify as 'organic', only that one is certified and the other isn't.
  22. A Thank you for your question! We make both products, and the only difference is that one is USDA certified Organic and the other is not. Both are high quality, 100% whey protein powder, Grass Fed, GMO-Free, Hormone Free, Bleach Free, etc.
  23. A No measuring cup is included with the whey. One must use a tablespoon to measure out the whey (5 tbsp. per serving)
  24. A Thanks for your question! The expiration tends to be 12 to 18 months once the customer receives it.Sincerely,Raw Organic WheyHappy Healthy Cows
  25. A Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your question! We are working on a 5lb bag that will be available in the next few months, so please stay tuned!
  26. A It likely varies by farm but the milk is is A2A2. That would seem to indicate Jersey, Guernsey and other similar breeds. This would be a good question to ask the company.
  27. A It is not raw as stated, it is pasteurized. From their website: "Raw Organic WheyTM is processed via a single flash pasteurization method at low heat and is cold processed. This method has been proven to keep the non-denatured integrity of the whey.* The raw milk is heated to 71.7°C (161°F) for 15 seconds."
  28. A It shouldn't and mine came in perfect condition...
  29. A Yes! "Only 1 Ingredient: 100% Pure organic whey from the milk of grass-fed cows*No added sweeteners, preservatives or fillers*Soy Free (no soy lecithin)*Sourced 100% from small US farms*rBGH/rBST hormone free*Processed at low temperatures WITHOUT acid treatment"

  32. A I second that. If you oatmeal is too hot it will clump. I do it sometimes, but after it's fully cooked. And I mix fast. Honestly, if you want protein in your oatmeal, you are better off with pea variety.
  33. A Hi,Thank you for your question! 34. A Well, first of all whey is co-product of making cheese. It is the liquid strained off after the milk has been curdled when making cheese. This particular product is first the whey coming from raw grass fed milk that is being made into cheese. Then the proteins in the raw grass fed whey are isolated to make a powder supplement that you can use in drinks and smoothies.
  35. A I have only used this whey in fruit smoothies which I mix in a blender. It dissolves totally with no clumping. It is very tasty. I have not used it in anything hot.
  36. A These answers are contradictory. “Flash pasteurization” is high heat for a short time. 161F for 15 sec is USDA standard process for milk in the store, so there is nothing new there. There is also slow pasteurization = low heat for a long time. You do not want “raw”, that is, unpasteurized milk product, because you could easily get quite sick from germs remaining in the powder (e.g., Brucella, Campylobacter, Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella). None of the descriptions explain the “raw” descriptor, which sounds like marketing.
  37. A Thank you for your question! No, our cows are not treated with antibiotics or hormones. Sincerely,Raw Organic WheyHappy Healthy Cows
