A I have not detected any bitter taste at all. It has a sour flavor that is similar to lemon. That flavor can overwhelm other flavors. I mixed in about 5 grams with matcha green tea and 32 oz of cold water and it dominated the tea. To give you another heads up, it's a strong vasodilator, which is one of the biggest benefits; however, having too much can leave you with symptoms of low blood pressure, i.e. dizziness, low energy, and/or hazy-feeling. I'm sure tolerance varies though, but proceed cautiously, I'm over 250lbs and I find 2.5 grams to be about my limit in a single dose. It's definitely effective and mixed with a juice. lemonade, or pre-workout drink the taste fades into the background.
