Questions and answers of the customers
- A I have no idea, except anything healthy costs more. It is not a great flavor, but I do love the results. I found that if you add a little sugar free french vanilla creamer to it, it's delicious :) Hope this helps.
- A I'd say the chocolate fudge variety doesn't taste very good at all when mixed with water - a chalky / ground cardboard taste is how I'd describe it. It has an aftertaste that I'd say is a mix of protein powder and unsweetened baking chocolate. It does not taste sweet at all, so the chocolate flavor seems kind of superfluous. It is not enjoyable to drink, and the only way I got through 8oz of it was by staying conscious of it being an efficient way to get protein/vitamins/fiber without many calories. (Vanilla may be another story, as might mixing it with milk; haven't tried these yet.)
- A I've had both, and Orgain's is very salty. It's got 270 mg sodium per serving, while Garden of Life's has like 160, I believe. I definitely prefer Garden of Life - which also offers many more nutrients. I just got the Orgain today and I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow for a refund - or an exchange, if they have Garden of Life. I'm loyal to them now.
- A Hi Naomi,Our protein powder has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. :) In good health,The Orgain Team
- A Caffeine free ? Yes it does Not contain any caffeine.
- A Yes. It has brown rice protein, which has all the necessary amino acids (the other forms of protein in the powder all add up to make a complete amino acid profile as well)
- A A complete list of ingredients are available for you to see in the description. You look at the picture and swipe to the left to reveal more pictures. The second one listed contains nutrition facts and an ingredients list! Here is where you will find your answer.
- A No idea. It’s best to ask Amazon or the manufacturer. (I’m a customer from Oregon)
- A You can take this to help build muscle. Ingesting additional protein alone is not going to make your muscles grow big and strong. It would have to be used as part of some kind of fitness exercise and diet routine.Personally, I don't take this to build muscle. I use it more as a supplement to make sure I get enough protein in my daily diet. I have a slight lactose/milk intolerance so I use this plant based protein. I prefer the unflavored one and add it to my morning breakfast smoothie.
- A Because of the RoundUp trial, California is now requiring that anything shipped in to California have a Prop 65 warning label.
- A you need to contact the manufacturer rather than amazon for that answer.
- A Hi Dawn,Thank you for your question. Orgain Organic Plant Based Protein Powders are not in capsule form and are a loose powder. Should you require further assistance, please reach out to us at [email protected]. In good health,The Orgain Team
- A Not sure if all powders are the same, but at least some of them are gluten and dairy free.
- A The powder is sold by weight, not by the size of the bottle.
- A I have never had a gas issue, I was surprised when I started reading this. I would try a Digestive Enzyme, they work wonders with foods that have a "gassy" effect, I'm sure it may work well with this. Just my opinion, but my daughter had horrible gas with almond milk, we switched to coconut milk and the problem was solved. Either way, the enzymes may help with whichever one you choose, Vitamin Shoppe has great ones.
- A Never tried the "purely inspired vanilla" . but I use the vanilla with vanilla almond milk and the taste is just vanilla. We blend this with various fruits, strawberry, blueberry, banana, etc and the flavor is just divine.
- A I take two scoops in the morning, I mix it with I cup of almond milk. I am lactose intolerant plus I am a Ovo-vegetarian- I have a sensible stomach So far no problems at all. Love it.
- A I've never made a hot chocolate with it
- A Only if you post the recipe for the rest of us, lol!рџЉ
- A I couldn't give an accurate comparison since I've never had shakeology. I will say the taste is good and sometimes I'll drink it because I actually like it and because work/school resulted in me having to skip a meal. Is it a wonderful milkshake that will have your taste buds going off? No but it won't make you gag either. You'll get used to it and you might actually start to like it (like me)!
- A The liquid versions contain milk, the powders do not.
- A To me, it tastes pretty neutral and earthy, it reminds me of rice milk flavor. The longer it sits the thicker it seems to get. I mix it with almond milk and sometimes smoothies.I started with a small amount in the smoothie and slowly added more to make sure it wasn't too thick. This is the only protein powder I've ever liked.
- A Serving size is two scoops (46grams) with 20 servings per container (40 scoops), 150 calories (40 from fat), 4g of Fat, 0g Saturated Fat, 1g sugar, 5g sugar alcohol, 125mg sodium, 21g protein, and 5g fiber
- A I love this protein powder, but recently discovered it failed several tests in 2018 for arsenic and lead/cadmium levels. It was too high in both. Google the independent studies for protein powders and you will see it got an overall rating of 3 stars out of 5. What lowered this from 5 was the presence of arsenic and lead and or cadmium. These things are found in the soil of even Organic products.
